Finding Purpose in Community
Volunteering wasn't always a significant part of my life. I was always ready to help, but wouldn't go out of my way to make a difference in my community. Over time, I've come to realize that putting in the effort not only allows me to positively impact the happiness and well-being of those around me, but it also brings me a deep sense of fulfillment and personal growth.
I've learned that true happiness often comes from stepping up and making a difference in the lives of others. Volunteering has shown me the power of taking responsibility. It's a journey that has given me the privilege to enrich the lives of others, and continues to bring me immense joy.
Aalto Salsa Society
Founder, Chairman and Teacher
September 2021 - Present
Back in September 2021, I organized a little class to teach the basics of salsa, to a group of around 15 people. Over time, this group would grow to contain 1000+ members, and would result in 170+ monthly registrations for classes across different levels, each with their own instructors.
My role as the chairman consists of leadership, strategic planning, organisational planning, outreach, mediation, presiding over meetings and being involved with association activities to ensure we are moving in the right direction.
